What we collect, and what we never do with it
Last updated 8 September 2026. Written to be read, not to be survived.
The short version
We collect what you send us in a form and what we measure about your business in public AI answers. We use it to run your measurement and to reply to you. We do not use your data to train models, and we do not sell it or share it with anyone except the API providers listed below.
What we collect
What you give us. Your email, website, city, what your business does, and anything you type into a message field. If you become a client, the details needed for invoicing.
What we measure. The questions we ask assistants about your market, the answers they return, the businesses named in them, and the pages those answers cite. This is public information: anybody can ask an assistant the same question.
What the website records. Standard server logs — the page requested, the time, the browser and the network address — kept for security and kept for thirty days. No advertising trackers, no cross-site profiling.
Who else sees it
To run a measurement we send the questions to the assistants themselves: OpenAI, Google, Anthropic and Perplexity. Those questions describe a market, not you as a person, and they do not include your account details or anything from your message to us. Email we send passes through our mail provider. Our servers are rented from a hosting company. That is the whole list.
We do not sell data. We do not pass it to advertising networks. We do not publish your numbers or your name as a client without asking you first.
Training
Your data is not used to train any model, by us or by anyone on our behalf. Where an assistant provider offers a setting that excludes API traffic from training, we use it.
How long we keep it
Measurements and answers stay for as long as you are a client, plus twelve months, so that a later measurement can be compared with an earlier one. Enquiries that do not become clients are deleted after twelve months. Ask us to delete anything sooner and we will, unless we are required to keep an invoice.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@ai-sayso.com and we will answer within thirty days. If you are in the UK or the EU and you think we have handled your data badly, you may complain to your data protection authority.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, we will say so on the page and, for clients, by email. The date at the top always shows the current version.
