What happens next

Minutes
We write the questions
A short set for your service and your city — the way a customer asks before they know a single company by name.
-
Usually within 30 minutes
We run them and read the answers
One assistant on the free check, asked more than once, because a single answer proves nothing.
-
By email
You get what came back
The answers themselves, who was named instead of you, and where the assistants got it from. If you want more after that, you tell us.
The free check looks at one assistant and a small set of questions. It is enough to see whether you have a problem, not enough to plan around — that is what the full scan is for. See pricing →
What comes back
Four things in the email, and no score out of ten
The checker answers one question: when somebody asks an assistant for a recommendation in your market, does your name come back? Not where your website ranks — assistants do not show a ranking. They name a few businesses and move on, and you are either among them or you are not.
-
Your share
How often you were named, out of all the times we asked. A share, not a yes or no — one ask proves nothing.
-
Who was named instead
The businesses that took the places, and how often each one came up. Usually at least one name you had not been watching.
-
The answers themselves
Word for word, so every figure can be checked against the text it came from. Nothing you have to take on trust.
-
Where the answer came from
The pages behind it — your own, and the directories, review sites and roundups read alongside them.
Why not just ask ChatGPT yourself?
You should — and here is what one ask will not tell you
Asking once takes a minute and it is how most people notice the problem. It is also a coin toss. Below is the same question, asked twice, minutes apart.
-
One answer is a coin toss
Asked once, you have recorded a single roll of the dice. A share means something only when the question has been asked enough times for the noise to cancel out.
-
The assistant knows you
Your chat history, your location and your account colour the reply. It may name your business because you have been talking about your business. A customer gets a different answer.
-
One question is not the market
Customers ask by price, by urgency, by neighbourhood, by comparison. Businesses named for one shape are routinely absent from another, and that gap is the useful part.
Where the free check stops
Enough to see a problem, not enough to plan around
The free check is deliberately small. Nothing is held back from it except scale — and scale is exactly what turns an impression into a plan.

When the email arrives
How to read your result
Three outcomes, and what each one actually means. None of them is a verdict on your website — they say where your business is described, and how clearly.
-
Named in most answers
Good, and worth checking where it stops. Visibility on general questions rarely survives the ones that mention money or urgency, and those are the questions nearest a booking. The free check does not cover them; that is the first reason people go further.
-
Named sometimes
The common result, and the one most often misread. A share that moves a few points between runs is drift, not progress or decline. What is worth reading is which asks named you and which did not — the pattern is the finding, not the percentage.
-
Named in none
Not a verdict on your site, and usually not about design at all. It means the facts a buyer asks about — what you do, what it costs, who you serve, whether you are open — are missing or contradictory across the pages an assistant read, starting with your own.
Whatever comes back, the answers are yours to keep, and nobody will call you about them.
Questions about the free check
Is the AI visibility checker really free?
Yes — it is free, with no card and no call. You tell us what you do and where, we run the check and email you what came back. The answers are yours whether or not you ever hire us. There is no trial that expires and no report held back behind a payment.
How can I check the AI visibility of my website myself?
Partly. You can open an assistant and ask it what your customers would ask — everybody should do that once. What you cannot do by hand is ask the same question enough times for the answer to stop being a coin toss, ask it as somebody who has never heard of you, and cover the dozen shapes a question comes in. That is the part this does for you.
Do you need access to my website?
No. The check reads what the assistants say about your market, not your website. Access only comes up later, and only if you ask us to carry out changes on your site rather than hand the list to your own team.
Which assistant will you use?
Whichever one you pick: ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude or Perplexity. If you have no preference we use the one most of your customers are likely to be asking. The free AI visibility checker covers one assistant — the paid scan is an AI search engine visibility check across as many as you want, each reported on its own.
How long does it take?
Usually about half an hour. The questions are built from your own site rather than a standard list, each one is asked more than once, and a person reads the result before it reaches you — that is what the half hour is spent on.
What happens to my details afterwards?
We use them to run your check and to reply to you. We do not sell them, we do not pass them to advertising networks, and we do not add you to a sequence of nurture emails. If you want them deleted, write to us and they are deleted.
Ask your market the question
One form, no card, no account. We write the questions your customers ask, run them, and email you what came back — usually within thirty minutes, and the raw answers come with it.
